As you can see from the title today’s post is going to be a Taylor Swift tag because I just love Taylor Swift. I went to see her on her Reputation tour and wow, it was amazing. I would go again right now if I could. This tag that I’m doing is a older one I think so I hope you don’t mind but I just had to add some Reputation into the mix!
1. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
Pick a book or series that you were pretty sure you were in love with, but then wanted to break up with.
Why is the first question so hard? I don’t know the answer! Ummmm… I did read the first book in Brandon Sanderson’s Mistborn series awhile back and had every intention to read the rest of series but never got around to it. I can’t see myself ever continuing with them now (but I wouldn’t say never ever) so I guess this counts!
Pick a book with a red cover.
My current read, Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody has a red cover!
3. The Best Day
Pick a book that makes you feel nostalgic.
The Faraway Tree and The Wishing Chair by Enid Blyton (yes, I know that technically that’s two books but they’re both by the same author! Come on!). My Granda bought me these books when I was very young and I loved them so much. They’re the books that got me reading so now when I think back of them I feel quite nostalgic for that time when I was just beginning to discover the world of books and used to worry that I was going to run out of books to read some day. Little did I know that new books are being published all the time and that I was going to have the opposite problem!
4. Love Story
Pick a book with forbidden love.
Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare but any Cassandra Clare book really.
5. I Knew You Were Trouble
Pick a book with a bad character you couldn’t help but love.
Cardan from The Cruel Prince by Holly Black. He was like the WORST character ever but for some reason I liked him anyway? You tell me how that works? I’m hoping for some real character development for him in book two.
Pick a book that someone ruined the ending for.
The Queen’s Rising by Rebecca Ross but that someone was me. I’m my own worst enemy.
7. Everything Has Changed
Pick a character from a book who goes through extensive character development.
Tyler from the Did I Mention I Love You? series. Over the course of the three books he completely turned his life around. I think you get an even better sense of just how much character development there had to be if you read Estelle Maskame’s latest book Just Don’t Mention It which is from Tyler’s perspective.
8. You Belong With Me
Pick your most anticipated book release.
The Wicked King by Holly Black. Please, please give it to me now! I can’t wait much longer… hurry up January 8th 2019!
9. Forever and Always
Pick your favourite book couple.
I can’t choose. Sorry.
10. Come Back, Be Here
Pick the book you would least like to lend out, for fear of missing it too much.
Any of my signed copies or special editions. To name a few, my Cassandra Clare books, my Sarah J Maas books and my Catherine Doyle books are sticking with me for the foreseeable future.
11. Teardrops On My Guitar
Pick a book that made you cry a lot.
Just Don’t Mention It by Estelle Maskame. This was such an emotional and painful read. It was incredibly written and really made you think a lot about how our main character was feeling. Put it like this, when I was reading I wanted to reach in and lift him out of the book so he could avoid the pain and emotional damage he was going through.
12. Shake It Off
Pick a book that you love so much, you just shake off the haters.
How to Hang A Witch by Adriana Mather. I loved this book when I read it and while I understand the reasons why people don’t seem to like it (it is a bit cliche) I still enjoyed it regardless.
13. I Did Something Bad
A book you spoiled for someone else.
*Spoilers for The Death Cure by James Dashner. I’m not doing it again.*
I was actually spoiled for this book myself. My friend and I were both reading it and I was telling my friend how annoyed I was that someone had spoiled it for me while frantically trying to avoid telling her exactly what that spoiler was. Unfortunately she guessed it was a death and then she guessed it was Newt. I didn’t totally spoil it but still- not a good feeling.
