Our Book Club Announcement

bookscovery

I have an announcement! One that I am so very excited to share with you because it incorporates all the extras that come with loving books that I have not had much of. There is one thing I have always wanted and that is to be friends with someone who loves books as much as I do. Whilst I attend numerous book events and meet a lot of wonderful bookish people the majority of book events I go to are a couple of hours away from where I live. It does make it hard to make friends who I can see all the time but finally I did it! I made friends with a lovely reader at an event I went to who lives close enough to me that we can meet up often enough! Her name is Jemma and she has just started a blog over at Jemma Loves Books. She is so enthusiastic about everything bookish and I just know her blog is going to be awesome so do give it a look.

All of the above and the reason for Jemma setting up her own blog is because of the announcement that I am about to share with you. That announcement is that we have decided to set up our very own book club called Bookscovery. We plan to meet virtually once a month to discuss a book we have decided to read that month. We would love to invite you to read alongside us and discuss the book when we upload our post. You will be able to ask us questions over on Twitter that you want us to address if you feel so inclined.

All the information you need to know is as follows:

Book club: Bookscovery

January book of the month: Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco

stalking

Goodreads Synopsis: Seventeen-year-old Audrey Rose Wadsworth was born a lord’s daughter, with a life of wealth and privilege stretched out before her. But between the social teas and silk dress fittings, she leads a forbidden secret life.

Against her stern father’s wishes and society’s expectations, Audrey often slips away to her uncle’s laboratory to study the gruesome practice of forensic medicine. When her work on a string of savagely killed corpses drags Audrey into the investigation of a serial murderer, her search for answers brings her close to her own sheltered world.

Discussion happening: January 31st 2019

Location: The first discussion can be found here at You Need to Read These Books! After that Jemma and I plan to alternate between each of our blogs.

Twitter hashtag for questions: #bookscoveryjan

Our Twitter handles: @JemmaLovesBooks (Jemma) and @readthesebooks1 (me!)

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you are as excited for this book club as we are! If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to ask!
