To Be Read

Panemathon TBR

Welcome to my overly ambitious TBR pile for the month of June as I’m participating in Panemathon! It is a wonderful readathon and it is so accessible. You can really make it suit you and your reading habits.

As you can see however, I am not making this easy this easy for myself! You see, Panemathon is a competition, just like The Hunger Games. You sign up (closes May 31st!) to the district of your choice and earn points for your district. I’ll be representing District 8 and I highly encourage you to sign up for 8 too!

I’ll leave a link at the end of the post where you can find more information about how Panemathon works.

District 1 Prompt- 5 star prediction

Book: Ember Queen by Laura Sebastian

I have loved the previous two books in the series so I’m really excited to read this. The other two have been five star reads so I’m hoping this will be too!

District 2 Prompt- Sword, shield or armour on cover

Book: The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller

My friend really loved this book and it sounds great so I wanted to give it a go!

District 3 Prompt- Sci-fi

Book: Illuminae by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman

I don’t really read much sci-fi so when my fellow District 8 readers suggested this one I was more than happy to give it a go.

District 4 Prompt- Set on/in/near the sea

Book: To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo

I’ve had this book forever so it would be great to finally read it!

District 5 Prompt- eBook or audiobook

Book: The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

I have heard nothing but AMAZING things about this book. The book community has fallen in love with it so I have high hopes that I will too! I’ll be reading it via audiobook.

District 6 Prompt- A country that’s not your own

Book: Time of Our Lives by Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka

I love this author duo and this is now the only book of theirs I haven’t yet read. I talked more about why I want to read this in my previous post, ‘5 Books I Want to Read Soon’.

District 7 Prompt- Set in nature or nature featured on the cover

Book: Woven in Moonlight by Isabel Ibañez

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this book has the most beautiful cover I’ve ever seen. I’m hoping the content will be just as beautiful. It’s inspired by Bolivian history and politics, which I love. It’s a perspective we don’t hear a lot about.

District 8 Prompt- More than 3 colours on the cover

Book: Other Words for Smoke by Sarah Maria Griffin

I chose this one because it’s my district’s prompt and I want the extra points (laughs). I also love the opportunity to read some Irish YA.

District 9 Prompt- Title that begins with G

Book: The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi

My friend read this and all of a sudden I had to have a copy. I’m looking forward to actually being able to read that copy.

District 10 Prompt- An animal as a featured character

Book: Serpent and Dove by Shelby Mahurin

I actually really struggled to find a book to fit this prompt and I’m working purely from the title here.

District 11 Prompt- Strong sense of friendship

Book: Lady Smoke by Laura Sebastian

I want to re-read this so that I can fully appreciate Ember Queen!

District 12 Prompt- Fire on the cover or in the title

Book: Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian

I want to read this for the same reasons as District 11!

Thank you so much for reading!

    1. Thank you! You actually don’t have to read this many! You read as little or as much as you want- you get points for what you do read! Do check out the @panemathon on twitter and see if you’d like to sign up! It is very accessible 😊

      Thanks for reading 💜
